bucketlist trip
In this camp we are NOT racing! We will be cheering / volunteering at the Ironman World Champs (Ladies Version)
The Hawaii Ironman is an incredible event that has been around for decades. It is an iconic event that has become a symbol of physical strength and endurance. The event itself is a grueling 3.86 km swim, 180.25 km bike ride, and a 42.2 km run, all of which must be completed within a 17 hour time limit. It is a test of physical and mental strength which draws thousands of participants from around the world each year. Furthermore, it is considered the pinnacle of achievement for any long-distance triathlete, making it a highly sought-after event. All of this combined makes the Hawaii Ironman an event that is truly special and one that will remain iconic for years to come.
amazing scenery
I can recall the first bike ride in Mallorca. We were heading up the Cap de Formentor to the lighthouse and we had to stop so many times to take pictures. The view was absolutely incredible.
We were giddy like school kids and had to keep reminding ourselves not to ride too hard and we had days left to train and not to mention a 70.3.
Yes, did I not mention that? At the end of the camp is the option to race Alcudia-Mallorca 70.3. This race put on by Ironman will not disappoint. It is in fact my favorite bike course that I have ever done. The variety and challenge will keep you on your toes and entertained from start to end.
We will fly into Palma. PMI. With the camp starting on May 7 you may want to arrive early or leave later for some personal time on the island.
We will stay in a beautiful Spanish villa. Each athlete will have their own bed.
Cycling will be the main focus of the camp with some swim and run training preparing us for the 70.3 on Sunday.
You will join a friendly group of athletes who share the same passion for triathlon and loving life .
Breakfast and lunches will be part of the camp. We will explore delicious local cuisine serving Tapas and the famous Paella at nearby restaurants
Being on a training camp has often been described as a "Favorite Type of Vacation" amongst triathletes.
This is truly a bucket list event for many triathletes.
Imagine spending a week in paradise with other like minded athletes who are looking for a grand adventure.
You week will be full of fun, encouragement and
a chance to explore your athletic limits.
